Noah Alexander Thompson It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Noah Alexander Thompson, of Secaucus, New Jersey, who left us unexpectedly on August 15, 2002, at the tender age of 8. Noah was born on July 19, 1994, to David and Anna Thompson in Secaucus. A bright, curious, and spirited child, Noah was a beacon of joy in the lives of all who knew him. He attended local elementary schools where he was known for his infectious laugh, creative spirit, and kind heart. Noah had a passion for exploring the outdoors, drawing, and playing video games, especially with his beloved older sister, Sam. His imaginative spirit and boundless energy turned everyday activities into adventures, creating lasting memories cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his heartbroken parents, his sister Sam, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him. Noah was a shining light in our lives, and while his time with us was far too short, his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A private ceremony was held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Secaucus Children’s Hospital in Noah's memory. The Thompson family wishes to thank everyone for their support and love during this difficult time.

How could this have happened? He was meant to be under control, nothing more than a vessel for our directives. How could he act with such autonomy, such... violence? Was this deliberate? A calculated rebellion against me? I believed he loved him, that there were still some remnants of his true self that cherished his family. Was this an act of vengeance against me? No, this can't be right. This method... it's not just unethical; it's flawed, fundamentally unstable. We've gone too far, but there's no turning back now. The project is too advanced, too integrated into everything we've built. We need a new approach, a cleaner, more direct method. If our current method is this unreliable, then perhaps it's time to shift our focus—control the end user directly through the games themselves. Yes, that's it. We control the reality they live in, the reality they believe. We need to develop this technology, refine it until it's seamless. This... this is the way forward.
